Glimepiride (1mg) + Metformin (500mg) + Pioglitazone (15mg)
Glimiprime-MP 1 Tablet is used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes.
Glimiprime-MP 1 Tablet is a combination of three antidiabetic medicines: Glimepiride, Metformin and Pioglitazone. They work by different mechanisms to provide better control of blood sugar when single or dual therapy is not effective. Glimepiride is a sulfonylurea which works by increasing the amount of insulin released by the pancreas in order to lower the blood glucose. Metformin is a biguanide. It works by lowering glucose production in the liver, delaying glucose absorption from intestines and increasing the body's sensitivity to insulin. Pioglitazone is a thiazolidinedione which further increases insulin sensitivity.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Glimiprime-MP 1 Tablet is to be taken with food.<br>Glimiprime-MP 1 Tablet may cause stomach upset if taken empty stomach.

A substitute contains the same active ingredient (salt), in the same strength, as Glimiprime-Mp1 Tab. The medicine inside is the same — the brand name, manufacturer and price are what differ.
All medicines sold in India, branded or generic, must meet the quality standards set by the national drug regulator (CDSCO). A lower price does not mean lower quality.
Please confirm with your doctor or pharmacist before switching brands — they will check that the strength and form match your prescription.
