What is Hytrin 5MG used for?

Treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) symptoms such as weak urine stream
hesitancy and incomplete emptying; treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure)

How Hytrin 5MG Works

Terazosin is an alpha-1 adrenergic blocker. It relaxes smooth muscles in the prostate and bladder neck to improve urine flow in BPH, and also relaxes blood vessels to lower blood pressure.

Dosage & Directions

Tablet for oral use. Take exactly as prescribed, usually once daily at bedtime to reduce dizziness/first-dose fainting. Can be taken with or without food; swallow with water. Do not stop abruptly without medical advice.
