Important Warnings

Risk of bleeding (may be serious); inform doctor before any surgery/dental procedures. Use caution in patients with active bleeding, peptic ulcer, bleeding disorders, recent surgery/trauma. Rare: thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP)—seek urgent care for fever, weakness, neurological symptoms, unusual bruising. Use caution in liver disease. Not a painkiller; avoid self-medicating with other blood thinners/NSAIDs without advice.

Aspirin and other antiplatelets/anticoagulants (warfarin
heparin
DOACs) increase bleeding risk; NSAIDs (ibuprofen
diclofenac) increase GI bleeding; PPIs esp. omeprazole/esomeprazole may reduce effect (prefer pantoprazole if needed); CYP2C19 inhibitors (fluoxetine
fluconazole
voriconazole) may reduce activation; strong CYP inducers (rifampicin) may alter response.
