Composition of Isiclop 75 Tablet

Isiclop 75 Tablet contains Clopidogrel 75 mg (as clopidogrel bisulfate) tablet. It belongs to the P2Y12 (ADP) receptor inhibitor (Thienopyridine antiplatelet) class of medicines.

• Prevention of blood clots (antiplatelet) in patients with history of heart attack (myocardial infarction)

How Isiclop 75 Tablet works

Clopidogrel is an antiplatelet medicine that irreversibly blocks the P2Y12 (ADP) receptor on platelets. This prevents platelet activation and aggregation, reducing formation of harmful blood clots in arteries.

How to take Isiclop 75 Tablet

Take by mouth exactly as prescribed, usually once daily, with or without food. Swallow whole with water at the same time each day. Do not stop on your own; sudden stopping may increase clot risk, especially after stent.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

Take it as soon as you remember. If your next dose is almost due, skip the one you missed — never take two doses together to catch up.

If you take too much

An overdose of this medicine can cause serious and difficult-to-control bleeding. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.

Side effects of Isiclop 75 Tablet

Most side effects of Isiclop are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

• diarrhoea
• indigestion
• rash
• itching
• headache
• dizziness

Stop the medicine and seek help immediately for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.

Warnings and precautions

Risk of bleeding (may be serious); inform doctor before any surgery/dental procedures. Use caution in patients with active bleeding, peptic ulcer, bleeding disorders, recent surgery/trauma. Rare: thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP)—seek urgent care for fever, weakness, neurological symptoms, unusual bruising. Use caution in liver disease. Not a painkiller; avoid self-medicating with other blood thinners/NSAIDs without advice.

Do not take Isiclop if

Not for anyone with a known allergy to this medicine or to any ingredient in the pack. Not for people with active bleeding, a bleeding disorder, or a recent bleed into the brain.

Interactions with other medicines

Aspirin and other antiplatelets/anticoagulants (warfarin, heparin, DOACs) increase bleeding risk; NSAIDs (ibuprofen, diclofenac) increase GI bleeding; PPIs esp. omeprazole/esomeprazole may reduce effect (prefer pantoprazole if needed); CYP2C19 inhibitors (fluoxetine, fluconazole, voriconazole) may reduce activation; strong CYP inducers (rifampicin) may alter response.

How to store Isiclop 75 Tablet

Store below 25°C in a dry place, protected from moisture and light. Keep in original blister pack and out of reach of children.

Expert advice for Isiclop 75 Tablet

Carry a card or note saying which blood thinner you take. Take it at the same time every day; a missed dose leaves you less protected. Use paracetamol rather than an anti-inflammatory for ordinary aches, unless your doctor says otherwise.
