Important Warnings

Do not exceed recommended dose. Use with caution in hypercalcemia, hypervitaminosis D, kidney stones, severe kidney disease, sarcoidosis or other granulomatous diseases. Prolonged high doses can cause vitamin D toxicity (high calcium) with symptoms like excessive thirst, frequent urination, confusion, and vomiting—seek medical help. Keep out of reach of children.

Thiazide diuretics (e.g.
hydrochlorothiazide) may increase risk of hypercalcemia
digoxin (risk of arrhythmias with high calcium)
anticonvulsants (phenytoin/phenobarbital) may reduce vitamin D effect
glucocorticoids may reduce absorption/action
cholestyramine/orlistat may reduce absorption
calcium supplements may increase risk of hypercalcemia if combined in high doses
