What is Mupicip Ointment used for?

Treatment of bacterial skin infections such as impetigo; infected small cuts
wounds
abrasions; secondary skin infections due to susceptible bacteria (e.g.
Staphylococcus aureus
Streptococcus pyogenes).

How Mupicip Ointment Works

Mupirocin is a topical antibiotic that inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by reversibly binding to bacterial isoleucyl‑tRNA synthetase. This stops bacterial growth and helps clear the infection.

Dosage & Directions

For external use only. Clean and dry the affected area, then apply a small amount as a thin layer 2–3 times daily or as directed by a doctor; may be covered with sterile gauze. Avoid contact with eyes, mouth and inside nose unless specifically prescribed; wash hands before and after application.

Always follow your doctor's prescription. Do not self-medicate.
