What is Mupisign Ointment used for?

Treatment of superficial bacterial skin infections such as impetigo
infected cuts/wounds
minor skin infections caused by susceptible bacteria (including Staphylococcus aureus).

How Mupisign Ointment Works

Mupirocin is a topical antibiotic that inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by reversibly binding to isoleucyl‑tRNA synthetase. This stops bacterial growth and helps clear the skin infection.

Dosage & Directions

For external use only. Clean and dry the affected area, then apply a thin layer to the infected skin 2–3 times daily or as directed by a doctor; may be covered with a sterile gauze dressing. Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, and inside the nose unless prescribed; wash hands after application.
