Metformin (500mg) + Linagliptin (2.5mg)
Ondero Met 2.5mg/500mg Tablet is used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes.
Ondero Met 2.5mg/500mg Tablet is a combination of two antidiabetic medicines: Metformin and Linagliptin. Metformin is an anti-diabetic medication (biguanide). It works by lowering glucose production in the liver, delaying glucose absorption from intestines and increasing the body's sensitivity to insulin. Linagliptin is a DPP-4 inhibitor which works by increasing the release of insulin from the pancreas and decreasing the hormones that raise blood sugar levels. This reduces both fasting and postmeal sugar levels. Together, they provide better control of blood sugar.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Ondero Met 2.5mg/500mg Tablet is to be taken with food.Ondero Met 2.5mg/500mg Tablet may cause stomach upset if taken on empty stomach.

A substitute contains the same active ingredient (salt), in the same strength, as Ondero Met OD 500 Tab. The medicine inside is the same — the brand name, manufacturer and price are what differ.
All medicines sold in India, branded or generic, must meet the quality standards set by the national drug regulator (CDSCO). A lower price does not mean lower quality.
Please confirm with your doctor or pharmacist before switching brands — they will check that the strength and form match your prescription.
