Surgical
Used as a sterile, single-use scalp vein set (butterfly needle) for venipuncture to collect blood samples or for short-term intravenous infusion/administration of fluids and medicines.
A scalp vein set provides a small-gauge winged needle connected to flexible tubing to access a peripheral vein. It enables controlled blood withdrawal or IV infusion with better needle stability and reduced movement during the procedure.
For use by trained healthcare professionals only. Use a new sterile pack for each procedure; do not reuse. Connect tubing to a compatible syringe/vacutainer holder/IV line as per protocol, perform skin antisepsis, insert needle into suitable peripheral vein, secure wings, complete collection/infusion, then remove and apply pressure and dressing; dispose in a sharps container.
Common side effects of Romsons Scalp Vein Set (22NG) may include:

Single-use and sterile; do not use if pack is opened, damaged, or past expiry. Use aseptic technique to reduce infection risk. Risk of needle-stick injury—use appropriate PPE and safe disposal. Use correct gauge/needle size for the patient/therapy. Monitor for signs of infiltration, swelling, pain, redness, or infection; stop use if these occur. Latex sensitivity: confirm product material if patient has latex allergy (follow pack labeling).
