Important Warnings

Risk of bleeding (especially with ulcers, recent surgery, bleeding disorders); seek urgent care for black stools, vomiting blood, unusual bleeding/bruising. Rosuvastatin may cause muscle injury (myopathy/rhabdomyolysis); report unexplained muscle pain, tenderness, dark urine. Monitor liver function; use caution in liver disease and heavy alcohol use. Not recommended in active liver disease; dose adjustments/close monitoring in severe kidney impairment. Avoid in aspirin allergy, asthma with aspirin sensitivity, and in children/teens with viral illness (Reye’s syndrome risk). Inform doctor before procedures/dental work; do not combine with other NSAIDs/antiplatelets unless advised.

Warfarin and other anticoagulants (increased bleeding)
clopidogrel/ticagrelor and other antiplatelets (bleeding risk)
NSAIDs (GI bleeding)
SSRIs/SNRIs (bleeding risk)
corticosteroids (GI ulcer/bleeding)
methotrexate (toxicity)
other statins/fibrates (myopathy risk)
cyclosporine (increases rosuvastatin levels)
protease inhibitors (increase statin levels)
antacids containing aluminium/magnesium (reduce rosuvastatin absorption; separate by at least 2 hours)
colchicine (myopathy risk)
