Roseday CV 20 Capsule contains Rosuvastatin (20mg) + Clopidogrel (75mg). It belongs to the Statin (HMG‑CoA reductase inhibitor) + Salicylate antiplatelet (COX inhibitor) class of medicines.

How Roseday CV 20 Capsule works

Rosuvastatin is an HMG‑CoA reductase inhibitor that reduces cholesterol synthesis in the liver, lowering LDL and triglycerides and modestly raising HDL. Aspirin irreversibly inhibits platelet COX‑1, reducing thromboxane A2 formation and thereby decreasing platelet aggregation and clot formation.

How to take Roseday CV 20 Capsule

Take orally once daily as prescribed, preferably at the same time each day, with or without food. Swallow the capsule whole (do not crush/chew, especially if enteric-coated aspirin component). Do not stop on your own; continue long-term unless advised by your doctor.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

Take it as soon as you remember. If your next dose is almost due, skip the one you missed — never take two doses together to catch up.

If you take too much

An overdose of this medicine is unlikely to cause immediate harm but may increase the risk of muscle and liver injury. It can cause serious and difficult-to-control bleeding. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.

Most side effects of Roseday CV are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

Warnings and precautions

Risk of bleeding (especially with ulcers, recent surgery, bleeding disorders); seek urgent care for black stools, vomiting blood, unusual bleeding/bruising. Rosuvastatin may cause muscle injury (myopathy/rhabdomyolysis); report unexplained muscle pain, tenderness, dark urine. Monitor liver function; use caution in liver disease and heavy alcohol use. Not recommended in active liver disease; dose adjustments/close monitoring in severe kidney impairment. Avoid in aspirin allergy, asthma with aspirin sensitivity, and in children/teens with viral illness (Reye’s syndrome risk). Inform doctor before procedures/dental work; do not combine with other NSAIDs/antiplatelets unless advised.

Do not take Roseday CV if

Not for anyone with a known allergy to this medicine or to any ingredient in the pack. Must not be used in pregnancy or while breastfeeding. Not for people with active liver disease. Not for people with active bleeding, a bleeding disorder, or a recent bleed into the brain.

Interactions with other medicines

Warfarin and other anticoagulants (increased bleeding), clopidogrel/ticagrelor and other antiplatelets (bleeding risk), NSAIDs (GI bleeding), SSRIs/SNRIs (bleeding risk), corticosteroids (GI ulcer/bleeding), methotrexate (toxicity), other statins/fibrates (myopathy risk), cyclosporine (increases rosuvastatin levels), protease inhibitors (increase statin levels), antacids containing aluminium/magnesium (reduce rosuvastatin absorption; separate by at least 2 hours), colchicine (myopathy risk)

How to store Roseday CV 20 Capsule

Store below 25°C in a dry place, protected from moisture and light. Keep in original pack and out of reach of children.

Expert advice for Roseday CV 20 Capsule

Continue your diet, exercise and, above all, stopping smoking — the medicine adds to these, not replaces them. Get your lipid profile repeated as your doctor advises. Carry a card or note saying which blood thinner you take. Take it at the same time every day; a missed dose leaves you less protected. Use paracetamol rather than an anti-inflammatory for ordinary aches, unless your doctor says otherwise.
