Important Warnings

Risk of muscle injury (myopathy/rhabdomyolysis) increases with statin+fibrate therapy—seek medical help for unexplained muscle pain/weakness, fever or dark urine. Use with caution/avoid in active liver disease, severe kidney impairment, gallbladder disease, hypothyroidism not controlled, and in elderly. Periodic liver function tests, kidney function and lipid profile may be required. Stop and consult doctor if jaundice, severe abdominal pain, pancreatitis symptoms or allergic reactions occur.

cyclosporine (increases statin levels; avoid/close monitoring)
gemfibrozil/other fibrates or high-dose niacin (higher myopathy risk)

protease inhibitors and some antivirals (raise statin exposure)
erythromycin/clarithromycin (may increase muscle risk)
antacids containing aluminum/magnesium (reduce rosuvastatin absorption; separate dosing)
bile acid sequestrants (separate dosing)
