How Rozat F 10/160 Tablet works

Rosuvastatin is a statin that inhibits HMG‑CoA reductase, reducing cholesterol synthesis in the liver and lowering LDL and total cholesterol while modestly raising HDL. Fenofibrate activates PPAR‑α, increasing breakdown and clearance of triglyceride-rich lipoproteins and improving HDL.

How to take Rozat F 10/160 Tablet

Take by mouth exactly as prescribed, usually once daily. Take at the same time each day; may be taken with or without food (follow your doctor’s advice). Swallow whole with water; do not crush or chew. Continue diet/exercise and regular lipid monitoring.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

If you miss a dose of RozaT 40 Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not take two doses within 12 hours.

If you take too much

An overdose of this medicine is unlikely to cause immediate harm but may increase the risk of muscle and liver injury. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.

Most side effects of Rozat F 10/160 are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

Warnings and precautions

Risk of muscle injury (myopathy/rhabdomyolysis) increases with statin+fibrate therapy—seek medical help for unexplained muscle pain/weakness, fever or dark urine. Use with caution/avoid in active liver disease, severe kidney impairment, gallbladder disease, hypothyroidism not controlled, and in elderly. Periodic liver function tests, kidney function and lipid profile may be required. Stop and consult doctor if jaundice, severe abdominal pain, pancreatitis symptoms or allergic reactions occur.

Do not take Rozat F 10/160 if

Not for anyone with a known allergy to this medicine or to any ingredient in the pack. Must not be used in pregnancy or while breastfeeding. Not for people with active liver disease.

Interactions with other medicines

Warfarin/other anticoagulants (increased bleeding risk; monitor INR), cyclosporine (increases statin levels; avoid/close monitoring), gemfibrozil/other fibrates or high-dose niacin (higher myopathy risk), colchicine (myopathy risk), protease inhibitors and some antivirals (raise statin exposure), erythromycin/clarithromycin (may increase muscle risk), antacids containing aluminum/magnesium (reduce rosuvastatin absorption; separate dosing), bile acid sequestrants (separate dosing)

Store at room temperature (below 25°C), in original pack, protected from moisture and light. Keep out of reach of children.

RozaT 40 Tablet is generally safe and well-tolerated; however, it may cause diarrhea, gas, or an upset stomach in some people. If any of these happen to you, take it with food. Inform your doctor if you experience fatigue, muscle weakness, or muscle pain. Your doctor may check your liver function before starting the treatment and regularly thereafter. Inform your doctor if you notice signs of liver problems, such as stomach pains, unusually dark urine, or yellowing of skin or eyes. Inform your doctor if you have kidney disease, liver disease, or diabetes before starting treatment with this medicine. If you are diabetic, monitor your blood sugar level regularly, as RozaT 40 Tablet may cause an increase in your blood sugar level. Do not take RozaT 40 Tablet if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or breastfeeding.
