Cefoperazone 1000 mg + Sulbactam 500 mg (as sterile powder for injection)
Treatment of susceptible bacterial infections such as lower/upper respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, intra-abdominal infections, skin and soft tissue infections, gynecological infections, septicemia, and bone & joint infections.
Cefoperazone is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic that inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to bacterial death. Sulbactam is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that protects cefoperazone from enzymatic breakdown and extends activity against beta-lactamase producing organisms.
For intravenous or intramuscular use only. Reconstitute the vial with a suitable sterile diluent and administer as directed by a physician; dose and duration depend on infection severity, organism, and kidney/liver function. Use at regular intervals and complete the prescribed course.

Prescription-only antibiotic; use only for bacterial infections. Hypersensitivity reactions may occur (avoid if allergic to cephalosporins; caution with penicillin allergy). Risk of C. difficile–associated diarrhea with prolonged use. Cefoperazone may increase bleeding risk/hypoprothrombinemia—caution in malnutrition, liver disease, prolonged therapy; may need vitamin K monitoring. Dose adjustment/monitoring may be needed in hepatic impairment and combined renal-hepatic dysfunction. Avoid alcohol during and up to 72 hours after therapy due to disulfiram-like reaction reported with cefoperazone. Use with caution in pregnancy/lactation; monitor in neonates/elderly.
