What is Sitagix-100MG Tab used for?

Type 2 diabetes mellitus to improve glycaemic control along with diet and exercise; used alone or in combination with other antidiabetic medicines (e.g.
metformin
sulfonylurea
insulin) as prescribed.

How Sitagix-100MG Tab Works

Sitagliptin is a DPP-4 inhibitor. It increases levels of incretin hormones (GLP-1 and GIP), which enhance glucose-dependent insulin release and reduce glucagon secretion, helping lower blood sugar with a low risk of hypoglycaemia when used alone.

Dosage & Directions

Oral tablet. Take as directed by a doctor, usually once daily, with or without food, at the same time each day. Dose adjustment may be needed in kidney disease; do not stop or change dose without medical advice.
