Known side effects of Sitagix-D 100/10MG Tab include Urinary tract infection, genital fungal infection, increased urination, thirst, headache, nasopharyngitis, nausea, diarrhoea, dizziness, hypoglycaemia (especially with insulin/sulfonylureas). Not everyone experiences these side effects.

Important Warnings

Prescription-only antidiabetic. Risk of genital mycotic infections and UTIs; seek care for fever, burning urination, or genital symptoms. May cause dehydration/low blood pressure—use caution in elderly, on diuretics, or with low fluid intake. Rare but serious: pancreatitis (severe abdominal pain), diabetic ketoacidosis (nausea/vomiting, abdominal pain, breathlessness even with near-normal sugars), severe allergic reactions. Monitor kidney function before and during therapy; dapagliflozin efficacy reduces with impaired renal function and may not be recommended in significant kidney disease—follow doctor advice. Temporarily withhold before major surgery or during acute serious illness/fasting to reduce ketoacidosis risk.

Insulin and sulfonylureas (increased hypoglycaemia risk)
diuretics (increased dehydration/hypotension risk)
other SGLT2 inhibitors or DPP-4 inhibitors (duplication)
strong inducers like rifampicin/phenytoin/carbamazepine (may reduce sitagliptin effect)
digoxin (sitagliptin may increase levels—monitor)
alcohol/excess fasting (increases ketoacidosis risk)
