Sitagliptin 100 mg + Dapagliflozin 10 mg (tablet)
Type 2 diabetes mellitus: to improve glycaemic control along with diet and exercise in adults when dual therapy is appropriate.
Sitagliptin is a DPP-4 inhibitor that increases incretin levels, enhancing glucose-dependent insulin release and reducing glucagon. Dapagliflozin is an SGLT2 inhibitor that lowers blood glucose by increasing urinary glucose excretion via the kidneys.
Take orally as prescribed by the physician, usually once daily, with or without food. Swallow whole with water; take at the same time each day. Maintain adequate hydration; follow diet/exercise advice and monitor blood glucose regularly.
Common side effects of SITAGIX-D 100/10MG TAB may include:
Prescription-only antidiabetic. Risk of genital mycotic infections and UTIs; seek care for fever, burning urination, or genital symptoms. May cause dehydration/low blood pressure—use caution in elderly, on diuretics, or with low fluid intake. Rare but serious: pancreatitis (severe abdominal pain), diabetic ketoacidosis (nausea/vomiting, abdominal pain, breathlessness even with near-normal sugars), severe allergic reactions. Monitor kidney function before and during therapy; dapagliflozin efficacy reduces with impaired renal function and may not be recommended in significant kidney disease—follow doctor advice. Temporarily withhold before major surgery or during acute serious illness/fasting to reduce ketoacidosis risk.
