• nausea
• diarrhoea
• stomach upset
• abdominal pain
• loss of appetite
• metallic taste
• headache
• dizziness
• upper respiratory tract infection
• low blood sugar (especially with insulin/sulfonylureas)
• vitamin B12 deficiency (long-term)

Sitason- M 50/500MG Tab may interact with the following:

• alcohol (increases lactic acidosis risk)
• iodinated contrast media
• carbonic anhydrase inhibitors (e.g.
• topiramate
• acetazolamide)
• cationic drugs affecting renal tubular secretion (e.g.
• cimetidine)
• insulin and sulfonylureas (increased hypoglycaemia risk)
• ACE inhibitors/ARBs and diuretics (may affect renal function)
• digoxin (sitagliptin may slightly increase levels)

Always tell your doctor about all medicines you are taking, including over-the-counter drugs and supplements.
