Important Warnings

Prescription opioid: risk of dependence, abuse and addiction. Can cause severe drowsiness, respiratory depression and low blood pressure; higher risk in elderly, debilitated patients, and those with lung disease (asthma/COPD/sleep apnea). Avoid use with other CNS depressants unless advised. Use caution in head injury, seizures, liver/kidney disease, and history of substance misuse.
