Important Warnings

Prescription medicine. May cause dizziness—avoid driving until you know its effects. Monitor blood pressure and pulse regularly. Do not stop metoprolol suddenly (risk of angina/heart attack/arrhythmia); taper only under medical supervision. Use with caution in asthma/COPD (may worsen bronchospasm), diabetes (can mask hypoglycemia symptoms), thyroid disorders, peripheral vascular disease, kidney or liver impairment, and in elderly.
