Important Warnings

May cause dizziness—use caution while driving/operating machinery. Use with caution in kidney disease, liver impairment, dehydration/low blood volume, and in patients on diuretics (risk of low BP). Monitor kidney function and potassium as ARBs may increase serum potassium; avoid potassium supplements/salt substitutes unless advised. Not recommended in pregnancy; stop and consult doctor if pregnancy occurs. Caution in heart failure/aortic stenosis; swelling from amlodipine may occur.

ACE inhibitors/aliskiren (increased risk of kidney issues/hyperkalemia—avoid in diabetes with aliskiren)
grapefruit juice (may increase amlodipine levels in some patients)
