Important Warnings

Not recommended in pregnancy; stop and consult doctor if pregnancy occurs. Use with caution in kidney disease, liver impairment, heart failure, severe aortic stenosis, dehydration/low blood pressure, and elderly. May cause dizziness—avoid driving if affected. Monitor kidney function and potassium; risk of high potassium especially with kidney disease or potassium-raising medicines.

potassium-sparing diuretics (spironolactone/eplerenone/amiloride)
other antihypertensives (additive hypotension)
NSAIDs (may reduce effect and worsen kidney function)
lithium (increased toxicity risk)
ACE inhibitors or aliskiren (higher risk of kidney problems/hyperkalemia; avoid in diabetes with aliskiren)
strong CYP3A4 inhibitors/inducers affecting amlodipine (e.g.
clarithromycin
azoles
rifampicin)
grapefruit juice (may increase amlodipine levels)
