Known side effects of Tosanib 5 Tab include Upper respiratory tract infection, headache, diarrhoea, nausea, increased cholesterol, elevated liver enzymes, hypertension, rash. Not everyone experiences these side effects.

Important Warnings
Prescription-only immunosuppressant. Increased risk of serious infections (TB, herpes zoster, opportunistic infections); screen for TB and hepatitis before starting. Risk of blood clots, major cardiovascular events and malignancy may be increased in certain patients—use only under specialist supervision. Monitor CBC, liver function and lipids; avoid use in severe hepatic impairment. Not recommended with other potent immunosuppressants/biologics. Seek urgent care for fever, persistent cough, breathlessness, chest pain, leg swelling, unusual bruising/bleeding.

Strong CYP3A4 inhibitors (ketoconazole
clarithromycin) may increase levels; strong CYP3A4 inducers (rifampicin
carbamazepine
phenytoin) may reduce effect; immunosuppressants/biologics (azathioprine
cyclosporine
tacrolimus
TNF inhibitors) increase infection risk; live vaccines should be avoided during therapy.
