Important Warnings

Risk of hypoglycaemia increases with missed meals, strenuous exercise, alcohol intake, or overdose. Use with caution in elderly, malnourished, liver or kidney impairment, and in patients with adrenal/pituitary insufficiency. Not for type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis. Inform doctor if you have sulfonamide allergy; monitor for signs of low sugar (sweating, tremor, confusion).

insulin and other antidiabetics (increased hypoglycaemia)
beta-blockers (mask hypoglycaemia symptoms)
fluconazole/miconazole (may increase effect)
rifampicin (may reduce effect)
corticosteroids and thiazide diuretics (may raise glucose)
warfarin (may alter anticoagulant effect)
NSAIDs/salicylates (may increase hypoglycaemia)
