Ursodeoxycholic Acid (Ursodiol) 300 mg
Dissolution of cholesterol gallstones (in selected patients), primary biliary cholangitis (primary biliary cirrhosis), cholestatic liver disorders with impaired bile flow (as prescribed)
Ursodeoxycholic acid is a hydrophilic bile acid that reduces cholesterol saturation in bile by decreasing hepatic cholesterol secretion and intestinal absorption. It also improves bile flow and protects liver cells from toxic bile acids, helping reduce cholestasis and inflammation.
Tablet for oral use. Take exactly as prescribed by the doctor, preferably with food to improve tolerance. Swallow whole with water; do not crush/chew. Dose and duration depend on body weight and indication (e.g., gallstones or PBC); take regularly at the same time each day.
Common side effects of Udiliv 300 Tablet may include:
Use only under medical supervision. Not suitable for non-cholesterol (pigment) gallstones, calcified gallstones, non-functioning gallbladder, acute cholecystitis/cholangitis, or biliary obstruction unless advised. Monitor liver function tests as recommended; symptoms may worsen initially in some cholestatic diseases. Use caution in severe liver disease, pancreatitis, or if persistent diarrhoea occurs (may require dose adjustment).
