If this is a sucralfate-based ulcer coat suspension, it works by forming a protective barrier over ulcers/eroded gastric lining in the presence of stomach acid, shielding it from acid and pepsin. Oral suspension: Shake well before use. Typically taken on an empty stomach (often 1 hour before meals and at bedtime) as advised by the physician. Keep a gap of at least 2 hours from other oral medicines unless your doctor advises otherwise.
