Important Warnings

Use only under medical supervision, especially in pregnancy. Do not use if you have hormone-sensitive cancers (e.g., breast/genital), undiagnosed vaginal bleeding, severe liver disease, active or past thromboembolic disorders (DVT/PE) or stroke, or known hypersensitivity. Caution in patients with hypertension, diabetes, migraine, asthma, epilepsy, cardiac/renal impairment, depression, or history of fluid retention. Monitor for signs of blood clots (leg pain/swelling, chest pain, shortness of breath), jaundice, severe headache/vision changes. Avoid accidental intravascular injection; administer deep IM to reduce local reactions.

phenytoin

phenobarbital

St John’s wort). Some antivirals/antifungals that affect CYP enzymes may alter levels. May affect glucose control with antidiabetic medicines; monitor if used with anticoagulants/antiplatelets due to clotting risk assessment.
