Hydroxyprogesterone caproate is a long-acting progesterone (progestin). It helps maintain the uterine lining (endometrium) and reduces uterine contractions, supporting implantation and continuation of pregnancy in progesterone-deficient states.
For deep intramuscular use only (not IV). Dose and schedule are as prescribed by the doctor; typically administered by a healthcare professional. Follow aseptic technique; do not self-inject unless trained. With or without food (not applicable to injection).

Use only under medical supervision, especially in pregnancy. Do not use if you have hormone-sensitive cancers (e.g., breast/genital), undiagnosed vaginal bleeding, severe liver disease, active or past thromboembolic disorders (DVT/PE) or stroke, or known hypersensitivity. Caution in patients with hypertension, diabetes, migraine, asthma, epilepsy, cardiac/renal impairment, depression, or history of fluid retention. Monitor for signs of blood clots (leg pain/swelling, chest pain, shortness of breath), jaundice, severe headache/vision changes. Avoid accidental intravascular injection; administer deep IM to reduce local reactions.
