Known side effects of Ursobile-450MG Tab include Diarrhoea, nausea, abdominal pain, indigestion, constipation, headache, dizziness, rash/itching, transient increase in liver enzymes. Not everyone experiences these side effects.

Important Warnings

Use with caution in patients with severe liver disease, acute inflammation of gallbladder/bile ducts, or obstruction of the biliary tract. Not suitable for calcified or pigment gallstones and for non-functioning gallbladder. Monitor liver function tests periodically; ultrasound/assessment may be needed for gallstones. Seek medical help for severe abdominal pain, persistent diarrhoea, jaundice worsening, or allergic reactions.

Drug Interactions

Ursobile-450MG Tab may interact with the following:

Bile acid sequestrants (cholestyramine
colestipol) and antacids containing aluminium (e.g.
aluminium hydroxide/smectite) reduce absorption; separate dosing by 2-4 hours. Oestrogens/oral contraceptives and lipid-lowering drugs like clofibrate may increase cholesterol in bile and reduce gallstone dissolution. May affect blood levels of ciclosporin; monitor if used together.

Always tell your doctor about all medicines you are taking, including over-the-counter drugs and supplements.
