Important Warnings

Do not use for acute bronchospasm/status asthmaticus. LABA-containing medicines must be used with an ICS in asthma; use only as prescribed. Risk of oral candidiasis—rinse mouth after use. Use with caution in patients with cardiovascular disease, arrhythmias, hypertension, hyperthyroidism, diabetes, glaucoma, osteoporosis, liver impairment, and in those with infections (including TB). Long-term/high-dose ICS may cause adrenal suppression, reduced bone mineral density, cataract/glaucoma and growth effects in children. Seek medical help if breathing worsens, rescue inhaler is needed more often, or signs of pneumonia occur (especially in COPD).

Strong CYP3A4 inhibitors (e.g.
ketoconazole
itraconazole
ritonavir/cobicistat) may increase fluticasone/vilanterol exposure and systemic steroid/beta-agonist effects; beta-blockers may reduce bronchodilation; other sympathomimetics may increase cardiovascular effects; diuretics/xanthines/systemic steroids may increase risk of hypokalemia; MAO inhibitors or tricyclic antidepressants may potentiate beta-agonist cardiovascular effects; other LABA-containing inhalers should be avoided.
