What is Volix Trio DS 2MG Tab used for?

Type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults when blood sugar is not adequately controlled with diet
exercise and/or single/dual oral antidiabetic medicines; helps control post-meal and fasting glucose.

How Volix Trio DS 2MG Tab Works

Glimepiride (a sulfonylurea) increases insulin release from the pancreas. Metformin reduces glucose production in the liver and improves insulin sensitivity. Voglibose (an alpha-glucosidase inhibitor) slows carbohydrate digestion in the gut, reducing post-meal blood sugar spikes.

Dosage & Directions

Take exactly as prescribed. Usually taken once daily with the main meal (often breakfast) to reduce stomach side effects and risk of hypoglycaemia; swallow whole (do not crush/chew) especially if it is sustained/extended-release metformin. Monitor blood glucose regularly and follow diet/exercise advice.
