Zincitotal Sus — Side Effects & Warnings
Known side effects of Zincitotal Sus include Nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhoea, metallic taste, indigestion. Not everyone experiences these side effects.

Important Warnings
Do not exceed recommended dose. Use with caution in patients with kidney disease. Long-term/high-dose zinc may cause copper deficiency and anaemia. Stop and seek medical advice if allergic reactions occur. In diarrhoea, ensure adequate ORS and medical evaluation for dehydration/blood in stool/high fever.
Drug Interactions
Zincitotal Sus may interact with the following:
Tetracyclines (e.g.
doxycycline)
quinolones (e.g.
ciprofloxacin/levofloxacin)
penicillamine
iron/calcium supplements—separate dosing by 2–4 hours as zinc can reduce absorption; may reduce absorption of some antibiotics
