How ZURIG 80MG TAB Works
Febuxostat is a xanthine oxidase inhibitor that blocks the enzyme responsible for producing uric acid. This reduces serum uric acid levels and helps prevent formation and deposition of urate crystals in joints and tissues.
Dosage & Directions
Oral tablet. Take exactly as prescribed, usually once daily, with or without food. Continue regularly even if gout flares occur; a flare-prevention medicine (e.g., colchicine/NSAID) may be prescribed during initiation. Do not stop without medical advice.
