Uses & Benefits
Sun protection (UVA/UVB) for acne-prone and oily skin, helps prevent sunburn, tanning, and photo-induced skin damage; useful as daily sunscreen during acne treatment to reduce post-acne darkening
How It Works
Sunscreen gel forms a protective layer on the skin that filters, absorbs, and/or reflects UVA and UVB rays. This reduces UV-induced inflammation, pigmentation and photoaging, helping protect sensitive acne-prone skin.
Directions for Use
Apply generously and evenly on face/neck and other exposed areas 15-20 minutes before sun exposure. Reapply every 2-3 hours, and after sweating, swimming, or towel-drying. Avoid contact with eyes; use daily as last step of skincare (before makeup).
Side Effects
Mild burning or stinging, skin irritation, redness, itching, dryness, acne flare/comedones in some users, allergic rash, eye irritation if contact occurs
Warnings & Precautions
For external use only. Discontinue and consult a doctor if severe irritation, swelling or rash occurs. Patch test recommended for sensitive skin. Avoid applying on broken/abraded skin. Sunscreen does not provide 100% protection—limit intense midday sun and use protective clothing.
Drug Interactions
No clinically significant drug interactions expected with topical sunscreen; may interact cosmetically with other topicals (retinoids, benzoyl peroxide, acids) causing increased irritation—use moisturiser as needed and separate application if irritation occurs
