Treatment of vitamin D deficiency; used in deficiency states, osteomalacia, and as adjunct in osteoporosis management as advised by doctor.

High-dose vitamin D3 replenishes body stores and increases calcium and phosphate absorption to improve bone mineralization. It helps normalize elevated parathyroid hormone due to deficiency.

Take exactly as prescribed, commonly 1 softgel once weekly for 6-8 weeks, then maintenance as advised. Swallow whole after food (preferably with fat-containing meal). Do not take daily unless prescribed.

Nausea, vomiting, constipation, weakness, increased thirst/urination (with high calcium)

Risk of hypercalcemia with overdose; avoid combining with other high-dose vitamin D or calcium unless advised. Use caution in kidney disease, kidney stones, hyperparathyroidism, sarcoidosis. Seek medical help for symptoms of high calcium (confusion, severe weakness, persistent vomiting).

Thiazide diuretics, digoxin, anticonvulsants (phenytoin, carbamazepine), rifampicin, corticosteroids, cholestyramine, orlistat

Store below 25°C, protect from light and moisture.
