PrescriptionRequired (Rx)
Overview
Drug | Capsule
Uses & Benefits
Neuropathic pain (peripheral/diabetic neuropathy), nerve pain due to nerve damage, tingling/numbness (paresthesia) associated with vitamin B12 deficiency, adjunct support in neuropathies
How It Works
Pregabalin binds to the alpha-2-delta subunit of voltage-gated calcium channels in the CNS, reducing release of excitatory neurotransmitters and thereby decreasing neuropathic pain signals. Methylcobalamin is an active form of vitamin B12 that supports myelin sheath formation and nerve repair, helping improve neuropathy symptoms due to B12 deficiency.
Directions for Use
Capsule for oral use. Take as prescribed by your doctor, preferably at the same time each day, with or without food; swallow whole with water. Do not stop suddenly without medical advice (dose may need tapering).
May cause dizziness/somnolence—avoid driving or operating machinery until you know its effects. Use with caution in kidney disease (dose adjustment may be needed). Risk of peripheral edema and weight gain; caution in heart failure. Do not stop abruptly (withdrawal symptoms/seizure risk in susceptible patients). Monitor for mood changes/suicidal thoughts. Use caution in elderly due to falls.
