Prevention and treatment of dehydration due to diarrhoea, vomiting, excessive sweating, heat exhaustion, fever; replenishment of fluids and electrolytes

ORS provides an optimal balance of glucose and salts to enhance sodium and water absorption from the intestine via glucose-sodium co-transport. This helps restore body fluids, correct electrolyte imbalance and reduce dehydration-related weakness.

Oral liquid; shake well before use. Sip frequently in small amounts; can be taken with or without food. Use as advised by a doctor/label instructions; continue feeding in children. Discard any leftover as per pack instructions after opening.

Nausea, abdominal bloating, vomiting (if taken too fast), mild stomach discomfort

Use with caution in severe dehydration, persistent vomiting, severe diarrhoea with blood, high fever, or if unable to drink—seek medical care urgently (may need IV fluids). Use cautiously in kidney disease, heart failure, salt-restricted diets, uncontrolled diabetes, or electrolyte disorders. Do not mix with other drinks/juices or add extra salt/sugar as it can worsen imbalance. Consult a doctor for infants, elderly, or if symptoms persist beyond 24 hours.

No clinically significant interactions expected when used as ORS; use caution with medicines affected by electrolyte balance (e.g., diuretics, ACE inhibitors/ARBs, NSAIDs, lithium) and in patients on potassium supplements—medical advice recommended

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Do not freeze. Keep tightly closed; follow pack instructions for use/discard after opening.
