Prevention and treatment of dehydration due to diarrhoea, vomiting, heat exhaustion, excessive sweating; electrolyte and fluid replacement in mild to moderate dehydration

ORS contains a precise balance of glucose and electrolytes that enhances sodium and water absorption from the intestine via glucose-sodium co-transport. This helps rapidly restore body fluids and electrolytes lost during diarrhoea or vomiting and corrects dehydration.

Oral liquid solution: drink in small, frequent sips. Use after each loose stool/vomiting episode or as advised by a doctor. Can be taken with or without food; continue normal feeding/breastfeeding. Use as per pack instructions; do not dilute unless the label specifically instructs.

Nausea, vomiting, abdominal bloating, stomach discomfort

Use with caution and seek medical advice in severe dehydration, persistent vomiting, blood in stool, high fever, severe abdominal pain, reduced urine output, lethargy, or if symptoms persist/worsen. Use with caution in kidney disease, heart failure, uncontrolled diabetes (contains glucose), or patients on sodium/potassium-restricted diets. Do not use if the solution looks contaminated or the seal is broken; follow label directions for use after opening.

No clinically significant interactions expected when used as directed; caution with drugs that raise potassium (ACE inhibitors/ARBs, potassium-sparing diuretics, potassium supplements) in patients at risk of hyperkalaemia; monitor in patients on sodium-restricting therapy

Store at room temperature in a cool, dry place away from direct light. Keep container tightly closed. Do not freeze. Use within the period stated on the label after opening.
