Nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) to help stop smoking and reduce withdrawal symptoms and cravings in tobacco/nicotine dependence

Nicotine gum provides a controlled dose of nicotine absorbed through the lining of the mouth. This reduces nicotine withdrawal symptoms and cravings when you stop smoking, helping you gradually cut down and quit.

Chew 1 gum slowly until a tingling/peppery taste appears, then park it between cheek and gum; repeat chew–park for about 30 minutes. Use when you feel the urge to smoke; avoid eating or drinking (especially tea/coffee/soft drinks/acidic juices) for 15 minutes before and during use. Typical max is about 24 pieces/day; taper use gradually as cravings reduce. Not for continuous chewing like regular gum.

For adults and adolescents as advised; do not use if you are a non-smoker. Do not swallow the gum; excessive chewing may increase side effects. Keep out of reach of children and pets—nicotine can be dangerous if ingested.
