Paracetamol (Crocin, Dolo 650) for fever, ORS sachets for dehydration, cold-and-cough relief (Sinarest, D-Cold), antihistamines (cetirizine, levocetirizine) for allergies, antifungal creams (Candid, Canesten) for monsoon skin infections, mosquito repellents (Odomos cream, All Out, Good Knight) for dengue/malaria prevention, basic antiseptics (Dettol, Savlon, Betadine), thermometer and pulse oximeter. Stock the home kit early — pharmacies get busy mid-monsoon.
Paracetamol only — avoid ibuprofen, aspirin and other NSAIDs in dengue. They worsen the bleeding risk that comes with falling platelets. Stick to paracetamol and see a doctor for any high fever during dengue outbreaks.
Diarrhoea and food-poisoning are common in monsoon. One ORS sachet in exactly 200 ml of clean water replaces fluids and electrolytes — sip across hours rather than gulp. Every household should keep 4-6 sachets in stock.
Odomos cream (12% DEET) for children over 2 — apply only on exposed skin, avoid the face and hands. Mosquito plates/vaporisers indoor work for night-time. Window mesh is a long-term investment.
Collections are editorial groupings to make browsing easier — they don’t imply a single product treats every condition mentioned. Prescription medicines listed here are dispensed only against a valid prescription verified by our licensed pharmacists.
Humidity + sweat + occluded skin (synthetic clothes, damp feet in shoes) creates ideal conditions for ringworm, athlete's foot, jock itch. Keep skin dry, change wet clothes immediately, use antifungal powders or creams (Candid, Canesten) early.
