How AMARYL M 1MG Works
Glimepiride (a sulfonylurea) stimulates the pancreas to release insulin and improves peripheral insulin sensitivity. Metformin reduces hepatic glucose production and decreases intestinal glucose absorption while improving insulin sensitivity.
Dosage & Directions
Take orally as prescribed, usually once daily with the first main meal (or as directed). Swallow whole (do not crush/chew if SR/ER). Monitor blood glucose regularly; follow diet and exercise advice.
