Uses of Aquazide 12.5 Tablet

Treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension), Treatment of fluid retention/edema associated with heart failure, liver disease or kidney disorders

• •Helps lower high blood pressure
• •Reduces swelling due to fluid retention (edema)
• •Decreases workload on the heart in fluid overload
• •Helps prevent complications of uncontrolled hypertension (as prescribed)

How it works

Hydrochlorothiazide is a thiazide diuretic (water pill). It works by increasing the excretion of sodium and water from the kidneys, which reduces fluid overload and lowers blood pressure. It may also reduce peripheral vascular resistance over time.

Directions for use

Take as directed by your doctor, usually once daily (preferably in the morning). It may be taken with or without food; taking it earlier in the day helps avoid nighttime urination. Do not stop abruptly without medical advice; monitor blood pressure and electrolytes as advised.
