Important Warnings
Use only for bacterial infections; not effective for viral illness. Fluoroquinolones may cause tendonitis/tendon rupture, peripheral neuropathy, CNS effects (confusion, seizures), and may worsen myasthenia gravis—seek medical help if tendon pain, numbness/tingling, severe dizziness, or muscle weakness occurs. Use with caution in kidney disease (dose adjustment may be needed), history of seizures, heart rhythm disorders/QT prolongation, diabetes (may cause blood sugar changes).
