Gliclazide 80 mg
Type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults when diet and exercise alone are inadequate.
Gliclazide is a sulfonylurea that stimulates insulin release from pancreatic beta cells. It helps lower blood glucose, mainly reducing fasting and post-meal sugar levels.
Take exactly as prescribed, usually with breakfast or main meal. Do not skip meals to reduce hypoglycemia risk; monitor blood glucose regularly. Dose adjustments may be needed in elderly or renal impairment.
Common side effects of Diamicron 80 Tablet may include:



Risk of hypoglycemia (higher with missed meals, alcohol, strenuous exercise, or overdose). Use caution in kidney/liver impairment and in elderly. Not recommended in type 1 diabetes, diabetic ketoacidosis; inform doctor before surgery/acute illness.
