What is Eztarica 10MG Tab used for?

Used to lower elevated cholesterol levels (hypercholesterolaemia)
including primary hypercholesterolaemia and mixed dyslipidaemia; may be used alone or with a statin to reduce LDL-C and total cholesterol.

How Eztarica 10MG Tab Works

Ezetimibe selectively inhibits intestinal absorption of cholesterol at the brush border of the small intestine (NPC1L1 transporter). This reduces the delivery of cholesterol to the liver, leading to increased clearance of LDL cholesterol from the blood.

Dosage & Directions

Tablet for oral use. Take once daily at the same time each day, with or without food, as prescribed. If taken with a bile acid sequestrant (e.g., cholestyramine), take ezetimibe at least 2 hours before or 4 hours after the sequestrant.

Always follow your doctor's prescription. Do not self-medicate.
