Clonazepam 0.25 mg
Treatment of anxiety and panic disorder; adjunct treatment of certain seizure disorders/epilepsy (as prescribed).
Clonazepam is a benzodiazepine that enhances the effect of GABA, an inhibitory neurotransmitter in the brain. This reduces excessive nerve activity, helping relieve anxiety/panic symptoms and preventing seizures.
Tablet for oral use. Take exactly as prescribed, preferably at the same time each day. It can be taken with or without food; if stomach upset occurs, take with food. Do not stop suddenly—dose should be tapered by a doctor.
Common side effects of Lonazep 0.25 Tablet may include:
May cause sedation, impaired coordination and falls—avoid driving or operating machinery. Risk of dependence, misuse and withdrawal; do not stop abruptly. Use with caution in liver disease, respiratory disorders (e.g., COPD, sleep apnea), depression/suicidal thoughts, elderly patients. Concomitant use with opioids or other CNS depressants can cause profound sedation and respiratory depression. Not recommended in acute narrow-angle glaucoma; caution in history of substance abuse.
