Treatment of diabetes mellitus (Type 1 and Type 2) to control blood glucose, including when a premixed insulin regimen is appropriate.

How it works

Novomix 30 is a premixed insulin containing rapid-acting insulin aspart and intermediate-acting protamine insulin aspart. The rapid component controls post-meal glucose spikes, while the protaminated component provides longer basal coverage. It lowers blood glucose by increasing peripheral glucose uptake and reducing hepatic glucose output.

Directions for use

For subcutaneous injection using a compatible insulin pen (Penfill cartridge). Typically injected 0–15 minutes before a meal; may be given immediately after a meal if needed as advised by doctor. Rotate injection sites (abdomen, thigh, upper arm) and do not inject into veins or muscle. Dose and frequency are individualized based on blood glucose monitoring and medical advice.
