What is Regestrone Tablet used for?

Treatment of abnormal uterine bleeding (dysfunctional uterine bleeding)
secondary amenorrhoea
endometriosis; to postpone/shift menstruation; management of menstrual disorders such as irregular
heavy or painful periods (as prescribed).

How Regestrone Tablet Works

Norethisterone is a synthetic progestin (progesterone-like hormone). It converts the proliferative endometrium to a secretory endometrium and stabilizes the uterine lining, reducing bleeding. Withdrawal of the hormone after stopping the tablets triggers a menstrual-like bleed.

Dosage & Directions

Tablet for oral use. Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor; dosing depends on the condition (e.g., for period delay often started a few days before expected menses and continued as advised). Can be taken with or without food; take at the same time each day and do not stop abruptly unless advised.
