Rosuvastatin 10 mg
Treatment of high cholesterol (hypercholesterolemia, mixed dyslipidemia) and high triglycerides; prevention of cardiovascular events (heart attack, stroke) in at-risk patients alongside diet and lifestyle changes.
Rosuvastatin is a statin (HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor) that reduces cholesterol production in the liver. It lowers LDL (bad cholesterol) and triglycerides and can increase HDL (good cholesterol), reducing plaque buildup and cardiovascular risk.
Take by mouth as prescribed, usually once daily at the same time each day, with or without food. Swallow tablet whole with water; continue diet/exercise and avoid stopping without medical advice.
Common side effects of Rozat 10 Tablet may include:
Not recommended in active liver disease or unexplained persistent elevation of liver enzymes. Seek medical help for muscle pain/weakness with fever or dark urine (risk of myopathy/rhabdomyolysis). Use caution in kidney disease, hypothyroidism, elderly, heavy alcohol use; periodic lipid and liver function monitoring may be advised. Inform doctor if you have diabetes risk factors (statins may slightly raise blood sugar).
