Important Warnings

May cause dizziness—use caution while driving. Monitor blood pressure, kidney function and potassium, especially in elderly, dehydrated patients, or those with kidney disease. Not recommended in pregnancy; stop and seek medical advice if pregnancy occurs. Use caution in severe liver impairment, aortic stenosis, heart failure, or history of angioedema. Avoid potassium supplements/salt substitutes unless advised; risk of hyperkalemia.

ACE inhibitors or aliskiren (in diabetics/renal impairment)
NSAIDs (may reduce effect and affect kidneys)

other antihypertensives/diuretics (additive hypotension)
CYP3A4 inhibitors/inducers affecting amlodipine (e.g.
clarithromycin
azoles
rifampicin)
simvastatin (limit dose when used with amlodipine)
